Privacy Policy

Last updated: 24 September 2026

This policy explains what Horizon EES ("Horizon", "we") collects through the Horizon Care mobile app and horizon-battery.com, why, who sees it, how long we keep it, and how you can delete it.

Who we are

Horizon EES, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. For anything about your data, write to info@horizon-battery.com.

What we collect

  • When you first open the app: a random identifier for your phone and the language you choose. You do not need an account, a password or an email address.
  • When you open a support request: your name, your phone number, the country that number belongs to, and the topic of the request.
  • In your conversations: the messages, photos and voice notes you send, and the ones our engineers send you.
  • For notifications: a notification token from your phone (only if you allow notifications), and whether you want reminders.
  • When you check a warranty: the serial number you enter. It is not linked to you.
  • On our server: your IP address and the time of each request, in our server logs.

We do not collect your location, your contacts or advertising identifiers, and the app contains no advertising trackers or third-party analytics. It keeps only its own anonymous usage counts, described below.

Anonymous usage statistics

The app counts how it is used, so that we can improve it: when it is opened, which kinds of screen are viewed (for example "Warranty", never which product or request), and when you open a product, tap Ask an Engineer, check a warranty or start a conversation.

Each count carries a random identifier made on your phone when the app is installed, the app's version and update, its language, the time and, only if you have given your phone number in the app, your country (Syria, Iraq, Sudan or Lebanon), taken from the number's dialling code. The identifier is not linked to your name, your number or your account, and is deleted with the app.

The counts never include names, phone numbers, messages, photos, voice notes, serial numbers or anything you type, and our staff's use of the app is not counted. We use them only to see how the app is used, such as how many phones use it, at what hours and which features, and delete them after about 13 months (400 days).

Permissions the app asks for

  • Camera and photos: only when you choose to send a photo.
  • Microphone: only while you record a voice note.
  • Notifications: only if you allow them, to tell you when an engineer replies.

How we use it

  • To answer your support requests. An engineer in your country sees your name, your number and the conversation, and may call you on the number you gave.
  • To send you notifications about your requests, and reminders if you have them on.
  • To keep the service secure and to stop abuse, for example by limiting how many requests one phone can make.
  • To improve our products and our support.

We do not sell or rent your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

  • Our engineers and support staff, who answer your requests.
  • Our hosting provider, whose servers store the data.
  • Google Firebase Cloud Messaging, which delivers notifications. It receives your notification token and the notification text.
  • Expo, which delivers app updates. It receives your phone's IP address and the app version.
  • Authorities, only when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

  • Photos and voice notes: deleted 90 days after the request is closed.
  • Photos and voice notes uploaded but never sent: deleted after 7 days.
  • A request closes by itself after 7 days without a reply from you.
  • The text of your conversations and the details of your requests (topic, dates, country): kept as our support record, because they help us support you and your products under warranty.
  • Anonymous usage counts: about 13 months (400 days).
  • Server logs: 14 days.
  • Backups: up to 30 days.

Your choices

  • See and correct your name and number in the app, under Settings.
  • Turn reminders and notifications off at any time.
  • Delete your data, in the app or by writing to us (see below).
  • Ask us what we hold about you, or anything else about this policy, at info@horizon-battery.com.

Deleting your data

In the app, open Settings, then Privacy, then Delete my data. Without the app, write to info@horizon-battery.com. What is deleted and what is kept is explained on our data deletion page.

How to delete your data

Security

Everything between the app and our server travels over encrypted connections. Photos and voice notes can only be opened by you and by our staff, inside your conversation. Access to our systems is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell you if a breach affects your data.

Children

The app is for owners and installers of Horizon systems and is not meant for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy we will update the date at the top, and tell you in the app if the change is significant.
